MedCop takes the Security of Members' Money as the top most priority and has invested considerably in systems development, financial security instruments and loan recovery, extensive vetting of new members and capacity building of the board

LOW-INTEREST LOANS

Access low-interest loans ranging from 2% to 12%, monthly, A member is eligible once they have saved for at least six (6) months (each share is K500)

INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE

MedCop is a member driven cooperative with the most important decision making body being the General Assembly (AGM). This is held once a year as required by the Cooperatives Act and Stipulated in the MedCop By-Laws. The General assembly elects the board from among the membership which oversees the day to day running of the cooperative

The Pay-Day Loan is payable at the Month-end at 12% Interest. The package has a maximum loan amount of K5,000. A member is eligible to access the Pay-Day and Personal Loans once one has saved for six (6) consecutive months.

The Personal Improvement Loan package is payable in 4 months at 6% monthly interest and has a maximum loan amount of K20,000. One is eligible to access the Personal Improvement Loan package once they have successfully processed their registration as MedCop members and have purchased at least shares of K500 each for a period of six (6) months.

Personal Improvement-Plus Loan

The Personal Improvement-Plus Loan is payable in 12 months at a 2% per month interest rate. The package has a maximum loan amount of K50,000 and one is eligible once they have saved for at least six (6) months with Medcop and have a minimum of 30% in savings of the amount being requested. This product also attracts a 1.5% insurance on the initial principal amount
